Hi all Today I left my Blackberry in the bathroom and my pet bird had a play with the 'pretty lights' and it fell on the tiled floor.The screen was lit up but just plain white so I removed the battery and put it back in now it wont even turn on.Is it able to be fixed or is it 'history'????

I can't tell you if it will ever work again but I would try plugging it into the charger for an hour and then trying to turn it on. Then do a couple more battery pulls. If that doesn't work I would take it back to the carrier to take a look at it.
There's a procedure for recovering a dead BlackBerry http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...ckberry-32322/. But in this case, after what is likely physical damage, I think there's a very low probability that software-related fixes would be successful. Sorry but I suspect a new phone may be in your future.

I agree, if a device is liked you described, reinstalling the software will net you zero results.
