Yes. It requires using JL CMDR to erase the device first. But why would you want to downgrade?

i want to downgrade to see if it fixes a problem i am having with MMS. always tells me "could not retrieve message content". Alltel tech support says all i should need is the new OS for the curve 8330 (4.5) and it should work fine. I told him what version i had and he said that it should work. Well, it stopped working whenever i upgrade. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Did you go to MMS options and check that you have reception set to on/auto? Have you tried a battery pull? Resending service books?

I've pulled the battery many times. Under Options>MMS all it says is multimedia reception >always on
Automatic Retrieval > Home Only (I cant change it)
and I have no clue what service books are?

Automatic Retrieval > Home Only (I cant change it)
This may be why MMS isn't working.

I cant log in to my providers thing...i'll have to call them to get my user information. I guess they already made an account with my pin number when they gave me the phone. and tech support for smart phones closed an hour ago haha
