    Hey there crackberry users! Just a quick question. Does popping off the trackball ring hurt the phone or just the ring? can you take it out 'too often'?

    If you aren't careful, the small tabs that hold the ring in the phone are easily broken.

    Break one tab, and you can still use the ring. Break 2 and you might need another ring.

    Oh alright so its just really the chrome ring tabs that gets worn down over time with popping off the ring?

    Yeah, the tabs that lock it in place get wore down if your contantly taking it off.

    If you accidently drop yr phone and the tabs are worn out, the trackball and ring will totally just pop out.
