Does gmail go through corporate bis server

I have setup a gmail account on my bb and I was wondering if these messages go through the corporate server. I simply want my personal email to be personal and not seen by corporate.

Do you mean corporate BES rather than BIS?

lol......gmail does travel through the RIM servers to get to you with BIS or personal.....RIM IS a corporation......so in essence yes.....if you have BES or corporate emil service.....aka enterprise....then yes it still does...so yes and yes

You have BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) if you have a data plan from your carrier. You have BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) if your phone is usually given to you by your company and accesses data through it's corporate intranet.
