I had one until one month ago. I loved it. Rock solid, never a problem. I replaced it with a Bold 9650 because I wanted the Bridge ability with my Playbook.

It's an OLD device. But some people are definitely still using it.

I, too, was using one till last month. I loved it. Still do. The only reason I got a new BlackBerry (a 9650) is because my Curve is a CDMA model, and I wanted a world phone if I should decide to travel. My contract was up, so I got a great deal on the Bold. I'm saving my 8330m as a backup.

8330 here for the last 3 years (Verizon), and shockingly, I don't think there's another phone for me. I like the trackball (never had any problems with it), I like the keyboard, I can't stand touch phones, and I only use it for e-mail, messenger, to browse the web for needed information and to actually make phone calls. It's perfect for me, and I think I'll look for a couple more of those ASAP (refurbished, at this point, I suspect) in case this one ever dies!
Cheers.

I use my 8330M everyday(sms, tether, calls, browsing, camera, etc.), I have beat it to death(dropped 10+ Xs) and it still runs strong, finding a hybrid os is another story...

My dad still uses an 8330. He, my sister, and brother; and myself used to each rock one at one point

I have an 8310, if that counts. 4+ years, changed housings twice, but its all good. (I was bored LOL). My trackball doesn't respond too well to clicks anymore, but everything is original and in working order. And I still get more battery out of my BlackBerry than my iPhone 4. Yeee!!

I'm about to swap housings on this guy, my phone is a super ugly fire engine red. Got an all black one on the way, then my Blackberry will actually be black ^_^

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | Why not just change the trackball? I had mine done at my carrier's service center a number of times, and it takes two minutes. Thirty seconds even, but they would stroke the job out to two minutes.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | Hmm, I never thought about that, LOL. So I only change the trackball and I'll be good? I thought it was something under the trackball. Thanks for the tip and info!

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | Well, it's a component that includes the trackball and that little silver ring around it. Order one, and take a look at it before you attempt it, but I just watched them carefully pry the assembly out with a little flat tool, and it comes right off. I would turn the device off before doing the job and I'll bet there's a good set of instructions to be found right here on cb!
