My 18 month old chucked my BB from the couch yesterday afternoon, it bounced off the wood coffee table and landed on the carpeted floor. Few signs of life since then It does nothing when I press the buttons, plug it into the wall charger. It's attached to the computer by usb now and keeps blinking on and off (shows a white screen with a battery/lightening bolt) but nothing else.

What's going on here?? What can I try??

    Thanks in advance,
    **Danielle**

The white lightning symbol usually means the phone isnt registering that the battery is in. Take out the battery and put it back in to make sure it is seated correctly.

Plus 1. Never can figure out why someone would give a baby their blackberry let alone everything else they give them.

If you want to keep buying new phones keep giving them to babies to destroy.

I've removed the battery and sim and memory cards and let them sit out for about an hour, made sure all the contacts are clean...Still nothing.

I didn't "give" him the phone, he found it. I tried to get it from him. He threw it. Thanks for being so very helpful...

Check the battery contacts to see if any are bent.

Ohh, now we have the white screen and hourglass of death and a slowly blinking red LED light.

I'm not sure how to fix it exactly. usually i just let it charge for a day then do a system wipe/restore. If you get this one working or IF you need a new one (lets pray it doesnt come to that), I'd suggest getting this like i did

BlackBerry Curve 8300 Defender Series Case // OtterBox.com

My son can whip it across the room and it still runs

...Although it took me my second curve to learn THAT lesson lol
