Ok, I'm about to lose it and shoot my BB. Is there a way to just scrub everything and just start over? The download for the new OS failed. The hourglass appears for no reason and slows me down. I love my bb, but the iPhone is looking more and more tempting every day.

If you didn't do a backup before the update then you could always do the old enter the password incorrect method. I would suggest reloading the OS that was working before and roll on.

What OS did you try to load? I know the last time I updated I did not have any contacts. I did a restore on the device which gave me back my contacts and I got to keep the update.

I already did a backup. I have not uploaded a new OS. I was trying to load 4.3. But I was trying to just load that to my laptop. But for some reason it kept failing. I just wanna know if there's a master reset or something. Just to set everything back like the day I bought it.

Yea you can go to options>security options>general settings>click the menu button then hit wipe handheld. This will get you back to factory settings.

Yes you will loose them. I reset mine recently and I'm glad I did, Jivetalk and games take minutes to redownload.

Make sure you have your license key available when u install jivetalk again.

It sounds like the big problem is the Desktop Manager install on your PC.

The Media Manager is a problem for everybody. It does not have to be installed to use the Applications Loader. That is the program you really want.

I had to give up on MM after letting it run 100% CPU for 6 hours.

Well, I wiped it. And I'm so f'ing happy now. It's running smoothly and hasn't given me that f'ing hourglass. Excuse my liberal use of consonants, but I was about to shoot this thing. Thanks for all your help!

4.3 is out. I have 4.2 and I think I'll stick with it. I doubt the differences are that major. I'll just wait until the 4.5 comes out.

Well, since I backed everything up to my laptop via the desktop manager I decided to reload it onto my BB. As soon as I did everything went to **** again. Is there a way to tell what exactly is sucking up so much memory?
