i was outside tanning and it was really hot. i had my phone with me
and then i went to check it and the screen was messed up. i did a battery pull and it doesnt turn on. even when i try charging it. what do i do?
Any liquid or moisture get in the keyboard/trackball area?
It doesn't take much, a drop or two of sweat, liquid (beverage) to short circuit stuff in the the Keypad area and cause the symptoms you have experienced.
I wouldn't think that heat would necessarily damage it. You might call one of your carrier's stores and see what they say. You can always buy a new battery.
Do you have a warranty or insurance on the phone ? If you have insurance, just don't tell them it was exposed to the sun.
If it might be moisture/liquid damage, take the battery out immediately and put the BB in a ziploc bag with uncooked rice. The rice will draw out the moisture from the phone.
If it is the battery, leave it on the charger for a few hours and your BB might come back to life. Battery performance can be affected by temperature extremes, so a good charge might be all it needs.
You should take it to your carrier and let the technician look at the phone, then go from there, whether it be insurance replacement or buying a new one.
Try a different charger. I had a car charger go bad recently. It would show a charge and maintain the charge (It lied about maintaining the charge) while plugged in, but as soon as I unplugged it the battery would drop or even be in the red. The radio would turn off on me saying the battery was to low for calls. So I would plug it in to the car charger thinking OK, I'll wait and it will be good. Not so the phone would be off and not turn back on until I plugged it into a different charger.
Sorry, for the long winded response try it; maybe the charger your using went bad like mine?

okay i called tmobile and they are sending me a new phone, free
and it turns out my phone is actually on because i am recieveing messages, the screen is just blank
Awesome. Freebies are always good. Just be sure you follow their directions in returning the original phone so you don't get hit with an equipment charge.
