A couple of days ago, I upgraded my 8330 with the official Verizon 4.5 OS. I went to the Docs2go website on my device's browser and it says that I have the program already on my BB. The only problem is that I can't find it on my device!!!
on your BB.. under options, applictions, is it even listed there.. no.. then its not on your device..
Now on yur desktop manager.. see what I posted above to find it in there.. scroll down to find it, and put a check mark in the box, then hit next for installation...
Did you go to DM>Apploader>click Update Applications>Advanced and look there for Docs to Go? If it is there, you need to click the box next to it and click next.
Yes I did...unfortunately, no dice. Not in the App Loader.
You upgraded from an earlier 4.5? Then open DM, click back up and restore, Click Advanced, click on File over the left hand box, select the most recent back up from you previous 4.5 OS, go down the list and select Docs to Go, click the arrows between boxes to put it in the right hand box, click yes to replace.
[QUOTE=fmvela;934715]I just went to the Dataviz website and downloaded the "standard" edition. That is what I am supposed to have, right?[/QUOTE
I'm not sure, I followed the link from my device's copy from the upgrade. If they don't charge you and it has excel, I'm sure it is. I am still curious if Docs to Go was in your backup copy, did you make a backup copy just before you upgraded?
Unfortunately, I upgrade for Verizon 4.3 to Verizon 4.5. Docs2go was not in any previous version that I had. I looked all over and was still unable to find it.
Thanks for all of your help. We'll see if my docs2go version "dies" after 30 days.
Docs2go was supposed to be part of the Verizon OS 4.5 upgrade, right?
Yes it is, I am sorry, I though you said you upgraded from a previous version of 4.5. When one already has Docs to Go, it sometimes gets erased when you use apploader. There's a work around for that, but if you had upgraded from a previous 4.5, docs to go would have been in the backup file. I don't know why it wasn't there in 4.5 for you. This is the first time I have heard of that with a good download and install of 4.5.
I read Verizon may not have docs to go. If it doesn't, you can select the Bell South version of 4.5.0.77 here instead.;0 If you do decide to change OS's at some point and it's to the same version, let me know via pm. There are a couple of things you need to do to make it install> I'll talk you through them.
