I have had a pocketPC before (Dell axim x51v), which had wifi

I am now really interested in a Blackberry for a phone and PDA convergence device so i can use a planner/calendar etc.

To this day the only thing that stopped me from buying a Blackberry Curve (wit Rogers) is the data plan costs which are huge. However now that wifi edition is out I want to clarify some things:

    1) Can you access the Internet unrestricted like any other PDA/Smartphone and browse from any public access spot.
    2) Can you set up emails on the blackberry without using the blackberry service email (which uses the data plan) to send and receive now that wifi is out.
    3) Is there a speed cap on the wifi connection or is it as fast as the router/access point your connected to

    Thanks
