Hope someone can help me fix this frustrating problem. I seem to have none of the synching problems that some other Curve users are having, but my Curve refuses to sound and alert for my appointments. I have checked all the obvious like the profile settings, sounds, mutes, in and out of holster, etc. Nothing seems to have helped. Any ideas??

    Thanks!

Or try loading up the new Optus OS. Seems to be a new solution.

Can be found somewhere on here....

Surely RIM would have tested to make sure this works, even in order versions? I don't really like the idea of using an OS that didn't originally come with my phone (Not sure what it'll do to the O2 settings)...

Surely there's a way for this to be fixed, as opposed to having to flash the device?

    This will work:

    http://forums.crackberry.com/f2/2007...e-8800-a-2322/

And by the way, the other OS will do nothing bad to your Curve. RIM writes all the software and it's up to the carriers to release it. I know people on O2 who have said the Optus OS makes their Curve run faster.

It does and also it works on the calendar. However i have also a Curve which has just the Calendar Patch. That works too

So, just to clarify, the 4.2.2.222 OS is more current than my 4.2.2.89 version?

...but if I understand prior posts correctly, the Optus load won't work properly with T-Mobile provisioning for BIS, and T-Mobile won't properly send the service books for email and web with the Optus version installed? (I'm using the O2 version right now).

I'm having the same problem as FLDave that my calendar alerts are not functioning. I tried going to this suggested patch... "2007 Calendar Patch for BlackBerry Smartphones (8830, 8300 and maybe 8800)"... however, an error message told me that it was not available for my device. I have the Curve 8530. Any suggestions on how to fix the calendar other than the patch?
