Hi guys...I put my curve 8300 in the wash by accident and was able to get it out before it was completely soaked....

long story short....everything dried up and works now, except for the backlight. It will not turn on, and the only way i can see my screen is in a really well lit area like right under a light or outside in the sunlight.

I looked extensively on the net for a replacement backlight to no avail....

my question is, is the backlight incorporated into the LCD replacement part? In other words, If i comepletely replace the LCD, will I be good to go?

    Thanks!

The backlight is part of the LCD screen. In the disassembly video, the LCD is a single unit secured with double sided foam tape.

That was a close call, water and delicate electronics don't mix that well.

Thanks stoner, I was just in the process of adding a link to the video, and then I looked back and you had it taken care of.
