How can I tell which if any applications are running in the background? My battery is completely draining in about 10-11 hours.

Press menu twice and select switch application. Note that some applications will always be running in the background.

or you can hold down the alt button and press escape arrow.....this will open up a window with the apps running too....and yes there are some which are always running

This was a HUGE help to me! I was getting very discouraged that my new expensive phone was being so sluggish. Then when I pulled up all of the applications that I failed to "close". It all became very clear (duh!).

i had the same problem and when i check what apps i had opn i almost had a heart attack that for this tip

I was wondering about the same thing. I had a task manager on my dash I got used to. Glad I found this thread
