I'm trying to download the twitter app for my 8310, but my os is too old - 4.5 something - however, isn't this the most recent os and I'm just out of luck - or is there an OS 4.6 for the curve 8310

Sorry, the 8310 topped out at OS 4.5. It doesn't have enough memory to run any higher OS version. OS 4.6 was never released for the 8310.
