For some reason when I receive an incoming call my contact's name does not always appear on the screen. I'd say about 50% of the time it does, 50% of the time it doesn't. If I go to my call log later, the name of the contact actually appears.

I used to have a Palm Treo and imported all of my contacts so at first I thought it was a formatting error, but sometimes it works for a contact and sometimes it doesn't.

Any suggestions? I am at a complete loss.....

    Thanks in advance.

Try pulling the battery out while its on. This resets the device.

If your phone is locked it won't show the name.

Hm, I'm not sure how true this is. My phone is locked all the time and I always get names.

Maybe it is a setting. Others have said it does this.

Sounds like a glitch more than a setting. I don't see any real purpose in not showing names when the phone is locked.

Removing the battery didn't work. Just received a call from someone and her info did not show up (just the number). It did, however, show up earlier today when she called. Any other suggestions????

It is a business phone and not showing the name keeps confidentiality.

The problem is that I need/want to know who is calling so that I can screen the calls and know when to pick up. And it doesn't happen consistently....it appears random for some reason.

Confidentiality from whom? It's your phone.

I mean I guess it might make sense in case you had your phone lying around or something.. names wouldn't pop up on the screen for everyone to see. The number still does though, which to me would defeat the purpose?

I don't know, I've never seen any setting like that, has anyone else?
