?!?Color Lights?!?

Has anyone tried the color light software on crackberry.com store.

I guess its suppose to let you be able to customize the color of your trackball and leds.. If you have tried this, does it really work and what were your expericences with it. ???

I just downloaded it. It wasnt wat i was expecting. I thought it was like bb alerts, but its not. Its still a cool app. My led flashes green yellow. maginta light blue, dark blue, and red.. wen im using the phone..

i downloaded the trial and it seemed to cause more damage then help. it only changed the color of my status light in the top right hand corner and it blocks the sensor or something as my screen was very dim andi couldnt get the trackball or keyboard to even light up

That was my experience also.

Just downloaded trial as well. It turns your LED light on whenever your screen is lit up. Once your screen fades to black, the LED shuts off.

It has aquamarine, blue, cyan, green, magenta, red, yellow. You can have it come on as a solid light, flashing light or disco (rotates all colors flashing). Not really a point to it - not sure what would be different in full version versus trial.

Ok I just looked in my app folder and I do have BBLight in there, its not on my phone any longer, i took it off a while ago.. did it download as BBLight?

Wow i didnt experince any of that. SOrry it didnt work out for you . My screen still bright and my trackball still lights up.

Yes i thought it was for the trackball, but its seems to only change the color of the led. Whenever i press a button my led flashes differnt colors, and when im on a call it flashes diff. colors.

Maybee you have to actually buy it to get the trackball function. I just have the trial for now. Im going to go buy it in a minute

I followed the link, got as far as pressing the dl button.... And nothing happened.. Guess that's a sign from what I'm reading. Haha

It is only going to change the trackball for the Pearl. I have a Curve, but I thought you could change the color of the Pearl anyway on your own? App doesn't seem to offer anything new... or useful.

No without a third party app you cant change the color of your pearl

Lol its nothing big. but it is a cute little feature to have on your phone for looks. As you can see from my picture i have a blue blackberry.. so the colors really look good with the phone..

Dn't waste your money if you are hoping it will change your trackball... the curves do not have the different color leds like the pearls do..

no problem... search for coloring your trackball and you will get a sh!t-ton of threads that explain what people have done..

In fact, only the 8100 has multi-color LEDs behind the trackball.

This was my experience also. I hope I can delete it...currently can't see anything on my screen.

you can still manually color the trackball, but it involves taking it apart, and placing tape, or coloring the actual led. i'm not brave enough to try that one out though.. there are instructions somewhere around here on how to do it.
