Not that i noticed
its just that when connected to the pc you can get more done
(Syncing Contacts or whatever)
Just Sometimes it locks your phone up when connected to desktop manager
and you dont need an extra plug

It might be he same it might not it depends on the Amperage the charger has, if u want a quick charge the. Plug it in and put ur phone into Standby mode by pushing the mute button on top of ur curve, it'll charge a lot faster the leaving on the idle homescreen mode I chared my phone on a car charger from 35% to 85% in a good 20 mins

I'm only asking because I really don't know much about electrical matters, but why does the type of current make a difference?

Im charged my playbook now with the rapid charger and in 2 hours in went from 20% to 96%. ... 97% while typing this post.
