Thanks so much for your help to anyone who can lend a hand. I am struggling to set up a gmail account on my blackberry. The account is all configured and has sent me several hundred e-mails (from over the past few days), but it is still not reliably receiving e-mails in real time. I send test e-mails... some of them make it, but the majority do not. I'm able to send e-mail from that account fine. I've checked, and POP forwarding is enabled, and there are no filters on. I also have another e-mail account setup, and that one is working perfectly in real-time with receiving. What could be going on?
How much latency is in the emails when they are sending? is it more then 20-25 mins or possibly less?...have you tried removing and then re adding the account?
Are you retrieving work email on a BES or from an Exchange server setup on BIS?
If the later, make sure your Outlook mail settings are set to keep mail on the server for at least 1 day. We had a similar issue with latency and/or some emails going to BB's and some to PC's (but not both) and this addressed our problem.
