    Everytime I try to view my sms outbox folder it pops up with "uncaught exception: DSSMA:invalid state (5) :10"
    Any idea what's going on or how to fix it?

    sounds kind of basic, but have you tried to do a battery pull?

    (take the battery out for 5 seconds while the phone is powered ON)
