So I'm on my Way to Germany yesterday and I just wanted to find out how much a call would be while I was in Germany calling another cell phone and the service rep was like since your account is brand new you won't be able to make international calls for 90 days. I couldn't believe my ears. That was the whole ******** point of me getting the phone is because I travel abroad quite often. He said there was way of getting an exception to the policy but I would have to call another number during business hours and I was like great...Im on the ******** plane to Germany right now!! Anyway from what I hear its just cheaper to get pay as you go phone anyway. Okay thats the end of my rant!!

Sorry to hear that. That truly sucks. When my friend went abroad on TMO, there were not problems or restrictions. I guess the rules are carrier specific.
Yes, sorry to hear that. But, I will say this to, if your credit score was 'higher' you'd get instant access. So, besides the fact that you're a new customer, credit is another thing they check...

LOL I only have two debts in this world my House and my car and my credit score is 776 (I get monthly reports from the top three)...Im pretty sure thats not just good... its excellent. They told me the policy was due to security not my financial status. Thanks for trying to call me out though...lol!!
It has nothing to do with credit scores. AT&T's policy is 90 days across the board. The rep you spoke to was right, there is an exceptions group but it can be a hassle getting through to them - once you do though it only takes a couple of minutes for them to get you provisioned.
LOL - I didn't mean to! Well, with that score, maybe AT&T have just changed their policy. It certainly was based on credit, too...
