Can't update from OS4.3 to 4.5. I'm trying to update it with the download I got form Alltell, but I have Sprint, and it doesn't detect the file or whatever. I downloaded the file, then installed it, then ran it, and it says that there are no available updates.

Have you deleted the vendor.xml file?

I don't want any unofficial stuff, thanks anyway.

If the vendor file is the original file I downloaded, then no I did not delete that. I didn't delete any file.

    Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\ and delete the file vendor.xml

You need to delete the vendor.xml file as the OS you're attempting to install is from a different carrier.

The OS is only unofficial for the carrier. OS's are device specific, so even though it's posted on another carriers site, it will work on your BB.

Try uninstalling Desktop manager and getting 4.5 or 4.6 without media manager. Install it and reboot your pc then see what happens.

I figured it out, I had to go into the program files folder and to the apploader RIM folder, and clicked on the icon opening the software install wizard, and it all worked out.

BUT, my blackberry seems slower now, and it is always loading for everything.
