Please help! I have a new BB Curve 8330 from Verizon. I have three e-mail addresses set up and am receiving very little of my e-mail. I receive some but not many. for example, this morning I had 51 e-mails on my outlook and only 11 on my BB. No one has been able to help me and one person on the help forum at Blackberry.com, after trying several times deleting my e-mail and reinstalling and then removing the battery while device is on, has told me my device is defective. I exchanged it yesterday at Verizon for a new Curve and this one is still doing the same thing.

I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Check the Firewall on your BB and make sure the appropriate boxes are unchecked.

How old is the email that's not syncing? Is it new email?

I'm not sure what you are asking. If you mean is my e-mail address new addresses---no, I've had them for a few years. If you mean how old are my individual e-mail messages, they have been received and stay on my computer for sometimes hours and they never come to my BB. Other times, when I do receive e-mail to my BB it is almost the same instant they arrive at my computer.

For example, I just received a message from my Yahoo e-mail address the same instant it hit my computer but I've had my e-mail on my computer to where you've replied to my posts two times and it's been on there for maybe 5 minutes and still has not come to my BB.

I was referring to the age of the individual emails. Accounts like Yahoo and Gmail will only push new emails. The emails on your Outlook should sync according to the options you have chosen.

Sometimes the network is slow and the pushed emails from yahoo, gmail and hotmail accounts can take some time. Other times it's instant.

it seems I receive most (maybe 100%) of my e-mail from my Yahoo account but not the two accounts that I have coming from my Outlook. I have my main account coming to Outlook and three "alerts" being forwarded from my Gmail account to my main account in Outlook. I feel the problem is somehow with my outlook but I'm not sure.

I've left my e-mails on my account all night and all day and still never received them on my BB.

If you know the correct way to configure my Outlook, I'll be happy to telephone you and you can walk me thru it. I suppose the best way to not publicize your number is to send me a pm.

Perhaps I should call Verizon tech support and get help. I called them Sunday and the young lady said she was a BB "specialist" and had me change something in my Outlook but that never helped. Instead, it caused me to get double e-mails on my computer for every one that was sent. After a few hours of that I unchecked what she had me check. Perhaps this time I'll get someone on the phone that knows what they're doing. lol

I finally know what's wrong! I spent a couple hours yesterday afternoon on the phone with a high-level tech guy from Verizon located in Chicago. We tested everything and found that there is a problem with Outlook. When you click on tools in Outlook and then click on e-mail accounts, change, more settings, advance, then there is a box you check to leave your messages on the server. The reason it must be left on the server is this is where Blackberry will pick it up. This thing was not working properly in my Outlook 2003. It will leave it on the server for maybe a second then pick it up and deliver it to my inbox in Outlook as well as the original message resulting in me getting two copies of all my e-mail messages in Outlook and none on my Blackberry. I now have messages into Blackberry on how to correct this but have not heard back. I'm not sure if I upgraded to Outlook 2007 if it would solve the problem or not. I certainly do not want to go to the expense of upgrading to 2007 if I would continue having the same problem and can't seem to get an answer from Microsoft. The solution we came up with is to close Outlook and then my e-mail is coming directly to my e-mail account server with my ISP and Blackberry is picking it up every time. The Curve is working as it's designed to work and the problem lies with Outlook. If anyone has ran into this same problem send me an e-mail and let me know if it can be resolved and if so, how. I hope this helps someone else who may be having the same problem.
