I've had my Curve 8330 for a few months. All's well.

Today, for some reason ... all messages showing on the front page (theme) shows five (5) unread messages, yet when you press the BB button ... no messages remain. When a new message arrives, it shows six (6) messages. When you go in, only one (1) message is visible.

Any idea what's going on and/or how to rid my BB Curve of these "unread" messages?

Try a battery pull, if that doesn't work check your emails too.

Whats going on is that you probably chose to hide sent messages.
BUT a known bug when you have themes that show preview of messages they will show up.
Delete your sent messages.

To see any unread message go to messages and hit "U" to see them.
