I used to be able to play .avi files, but for some reason now I can't. I can play videos on YouTube, but that's not what I want. I am converting mp4 files to .avi via the program ImToo. This software has a profile for Blackberry avi.

I get the error message: "An error has occurred attempting to play media". I also get a red error message box in the corner saying : Error Playing. (Duh)

Can play music fine. Am loading the files directly onto the BB drive as I do all my documents and music. Shows up in the directory fine. Just...won't...play.

I like the capability of playing my favorite videos in full screen format.

Hey CyberchickK and welcome to the boards!

Have you tried doing a battery pull and rebooting the phone? See if that helps and report back.
