I know I'm supposed to do the following (PC's Program Files > Common Files > Research In Motion > AppLoader and then delete the Vendor file) but I dont see 'Common Files' nor 'RIM' ...what can I do?

    Things to check:

    1. In Windows Explorer make sure you have "Show hidden files and folder" checked under Folder Options > View.

    2. If you are using Vista check out this thread:http://forums.crackberry.com/f2/who-...se-read-79102/

The only problem with this advice is that CrackMem doesn't always find the Vendor.xml file. I just upgraded to .77 this morning and even after using CrackMem I still had to go find the file and delete it manually.

If you get v2.6 of CrackMem then you will find that it works perfectly. There was a bug in previous versions that was caused by a copy of Vendor.xml being in Apploader and another in the RemovedFiles folder.

The program was unable to move/delete a file that existed in both the source and destination locations. This has now been fixed in v2.6. All you have to do is to download the newest version and all will be well again.
