Hi. I have had this happen occasionally since I have had my 8310/AT&T curve - say 4 times in the past 4 months. The phone will ring and the screen light up, I see the caller ID info and name from my address book, but hitting the answer key does nothing. Its like the phone is too busy processing something or waking up to answer. I try hitting answer and End and other keys to no effect. I then need to wait 45 seconds until it responds and then call the person back. Anyone else have this behavior and is ther anything that can be done to fix?

Also, the phone often will behave similarly when trying to wake it out of stand-by mode. Most times you hit the key and it is right there. But occasionally it take 45 seconds and multiple key presses (might only take one key press, but who is that patient?).

I guess I should mention that it is password protected and on Enterprise Server if that matters.

    THANKS for any info. Rob

wow, that could be lots of things from memory to operating system to a worn out keypad. How long have you had it? You may want to see if at&t wont replace it before getting to deep into this. should you decide to go at it, if were me I would first make sure memory is at optimum level...http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...-memory-34633/

then update o.s. if applicable http://forums.crackberry.com/f52/new...ht=newest+8310

then order a new keypad 8310 - 3G, NEC, Nokia, HTC, Motorola, Accessories Store, BenQ-Siemens, LG, Panasonic, B

Good luck and welcome to CB
