My family member has ATT. She is using the 8310 from ATT and wants to use OS5 for the new messaging threads. I figure my old Curve 8330 from Verizon can be converted to OS 5.
Can this phone be converted to work with ATT?
Advice/Info and instructions would be appreciated!
    Thanks.
PS-Also 8330 is a lot quieter using the key board!!!!

Sorry but you can't change a CDMA cell into a GSM cell

    CDMA - Verizon
    GSM - AT&T

AT&T uses SIM cards since they are a GSM carrier.

There are no SIM cards on the 8330, since it is a CDMA device.

It is impossible to use a device on a GSM carrier without a SIM card. Therefore, the 8330 will never work with any GSM carrier.

    It's not possible. Sorry.
If she just wants threaded messaging, she should get an app (crunchsms or threaded sms) for it; that's less trouble than upgrading if you just want the threaded sms. Or get a newer BlackBerry.

    ... I came across this High Quality SIM Card Slot + SIM Card Connector for Blackberry 8300 / Curve 8330 / 8310 / 8320 | Alex NLD
and this would be contrary to what you are all saying. So, can you give me some kind of explanation for this?
