Do a search for Maxmem for Blackberry. Download it directly to you berry. Use it to delete VAD. Use caution deleting anything else if you aren't familiar with what it is. After deleing VAD, delete Maxmem from your Applications list. Happy hunting.

i recommend using either BBSAK or BBMCP to remove it.

connect the phone to your computer, open BBSAK or BBMCP, navigate to the 'Remove cod file' screen, and remove the following files:

    - net_rim_nuance
    - net_rim_speech
    - net_rim_speech_data_en_US
    - net_rim_vad
    - net_rim_vad_engine_resource_en_US
    - net_rim_vad_resource
    - net_rim_vad_resource_en

Is the BB supposed to reboot after every file you remove with the BBSAK remove COD tool?

If I remember correctly you can delete all the files at once. Press control and highlight another file. Or press shift and highlight a group. I was removing them individually also until I realized they can be removed together. But yes it will reboot every time you remove a single file otherwise.
