but arent some phones comming out today on cdma networks dual function? the storm is, it just has to get unlocked. a coworker had a samsung something or other from sprint and it had a spot for a sim card as well. supposedly phones will be comming out soon that will be able to make the switch very easily, but who really knows.
You can unlock CDMA phones (VZW phones already come unlocked) but unlike GSM providers most will not provision the phone for use on their network unless it is in their database of allowable ESN numbers.
