i'm having another issue with my curve. I can't recieve any phone calls. when someones calling i don't hear a ringtone, miss call thing just shows on the screen and when i try to check my miss calls on my call log no number shows. I tired turning off the phone and taking the batteries out for at least 30 sec but its still the same. my profile setting is set to hows it suppose to be set up.

leave your phone powered on and then pull the battery

I thought you may have done the trying to talk on your phone while your bluetooth earpiece was still connected, but not in your ear. Trust, a lot of us shamefully have, but in your case, your not showing the numbers that have called you and you can't hear anything. Are the people callin you getting anything, a ringtone, recorded message, your voice?
