I have a Verizon BB 8330 purchased from eBay, activated with my local carrier, Appalachian Wireless. I do have BB data plan, but can not access BES, BIS, push mail, email, etc. AW tells me that outside my local area my phone can be used as a phone only. I run opera mini to access the internet. It works great, HERE IN MY LOCAL AREA! Does anyone know how to make opera mini 4.2 work in a roaming area? I once had opera mini on a BB 7520 (a BoostBerry) WITHOUT any data plan, and it only worked in the local area, which is different from my present local area. I am interested in getting opera to work wherever I am that I have signal, but don't know enough about my BB to get it to do that. Does this have anything to do with the fact that my BB is CDMA and not GPS?
