Help me, please, before I go insane!

I had a Palm for years and had no problems with syncs between two different laptops and my device. I got a BlackBerry and have never had a successful sync without duplications and omissions!

I'm using Windows XP Home Edition, with Outlook 2007 on both computers. I just "upgraded" to 4.5.0.77 (I think) through/because of an email I got from RIM. I had hoped that the upgrade would fix the sync problems, but it hasn't.

Sometimes events duplicate; sometimes they don't sync at all; sometimes they change start or end times; sometimes they add recurrences I didn't add when I entered the event; sometimes they eliminate recurrences; sometimes they add an Intellisync record number into the "memo" part of the event, sometimes they don't.

I have NO idea what's going on....can somebody please help me? I completely rely on this calendar and can't afford to spend the time fixing it every time I sync.
