Hi everyone,

here's my issue: when I don't use the phone for more than an hour or so the phone appears to die. Then I do a battery pull but when it finally restarts the buttons aren't working. Sometimes I can scroll with the trackball but nothing happens when I press on it. I have to pull the battery 3-5 times until it starts working again. Sometimes it will be fine for a day, other times it won't work after a few hours.

Any help or advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like the phone got exposed to liquid or moisture at some point, perhaps even in the past. If this is a second-hand phone, you would never have known until you start to have problems.

I bought it new, it will boot but then the screen goes black and the buttons stop working

If its still under warranty take it back. It does sound like a moisture issue.
