Why does it take so long to boot up? (curve 8310) I really dread having to do battery pulls, because i know that im going to have to wait 10 minutes for my phone to turn back on....

    anyone know why?

ive seen the bold turn on, and it takes about 3 seconds...

Seriously, my 8330 boots up in about 3 minutes. Check your file free memory. Options, Status.

Depends what it's doing in the background. The developers of the phone know and they're not talking.

But this really shouldn't be an issue, unless for some reason you do a battery pull every 30 minutes or so. You shouldn't need to do it very often, and when you do just perform it before bed time or something when you won't be using your phone anyways.

no your file free isn't BAD, but it could be better.
make sure you close out ALL your apps when you are done with them....not just exiting...close them.

Memory is not super low but I would look into freeing some up. Your memory is going to go up and down with your usage. It may be causing you problems.
