I previously was running XP pro on my laptop which i had 4.2.2 software installed and used with out ne problems. I got a virus the other day and it basically wiped my laptop out, so i upgraded to Vista Enterprise. Now i loaded all my software backon, but when i open Blackberry software it blinks but will not start, i reintalled it a few times but still nothing works. Ne suggestions?

Try to get DM 4.3, 4.2.2 is not compatible with Vista that I am aware of. Not being with your carrier, I am not sure if 4.3 is good for your deivce or not.

Also if there is an aval OS update for your device, you may do that as well at the same time you update the DM

I agree with lastraid. Get the latest v4.5 DM from the BlackBerry site here https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22. I'd try the version with no media manager because it causes far fewr problems on your PC than with it 450_b016_multilanguage_nomediamanager.exe.

I have several XP systems and one Vista Home Premium system here and DM 4.5 runs fine on all of them. I never tried earlier than 4.5 under Vista.

Thanks, that worked. 4.5 is alot better then my previous version 4.2.
