How do I go about downloading the new OS if I have a Macbook? When I plug my BB into my computer it doesn't show up as a device. I use PocketMac to update it, but I don't think I can download the OS 4.5 from there.

Any help?

My sister needed an upgrade on her Pearl and since she had a Mac, they told her she wouldn't be able to upgrade. They ended up sending her a Curve instead.

You have to do it on a pc, no other options. RIM has not developed Mac compatible desktop software, but I hear they're working on it.

Maybe i'll try that, calling customer service and seeing if I can get a free upgraded phone instead
