Hey I own a Blackberry Curve 8330 and I just have a quick question
so when I just got the phone, everytime I recieved a text message the alert would appear on the home screen with an envelope and a little red star.
But NOW when I recieve a text the alert just shows up as an envelope.
My question is where did my star go and how do I get it back??

Mine was doing that shortly after I got it (a week ago), but with BBM. I would get the alert, but no red star. I did a battery pull and then it started working fine again.

Hey, and if I can piggy back on this question, is there a way on the 8330 to get a new text message to come up without clicking on the Message Icon and selecting the message?

If so, how?
