My daughter dropped her new Blackberry 8310, therefore voiding the warranty. The phone works fine, however the scroll ball doesn't work when you push it in. You can use the scroll ball to move around the screen, but not to select anything. I was hoping to figure a way to fix it without costing me a fortune. Any suggestions? I didn't know if replacing the scroll ball would fix the problem or if the reason you can't click with the ball is because there may be some sort of circuit under the ball assembly. Thanks!
If the phone's casing or screen isn't cracked or anything and no stickers from the battery compartment are red or missing, you still have warranty. AT&T cannot tell if the phone has been dropped unless there is major physical damage.
