    Hello:

I have a Curve 8330 running software version 4.5.0.186 with data service disabled. I only use this device to make/receive calls and SMS texts, which it still does quite well. However, the SMS limit of 160 characters is a bit of an inconvenience at times, and since I can't use MMS with data disabled, I was wondering if one of the above-mentioned apps would work on this device to make SMS texting a bit easier.

If so, I'd also need to know how to get the app onto my phone with data disabled. I assume I'd have to download it to my computer and somehow transfer it to my phone via the Blackberry Desktop Software program or some other way. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I figured it out, apparently. Downloaded the crushSMS app from the crushSMS site (crunchSMS) and then loaded it onto my 8330 with the BB desktop software.
