I've tried 5.0.0.230 and it's not all the great, IMHO. Application and theme support is buggy, but that's to be expected in a beta 5.0 build. The one that I use right now 4.5.0.175 from Sprint. I haven't ran into any stability problems what-so-ever with .175.
Rapid battery drain would be caused by background apps constantly "calling home" and tying up the radio. .138 was worse for battery life compared to .175.
In response to Xtort's post, yes I can see how that would be the case, but going from .131 and having 2 days battery life with moderate usage, I am down to 1 day at best on .175 and I dont run anything in the background..... just the standard 5 apps that cant be turned off.
went over too Nathanix blackberry site used there os 5.0 with mods 6.5 and running like a dream they have great support any issue i have posted 24 hours i have a reply check them out i have and never had a bb before 3 weeks ago ...
i'm running 4.5.0.138 on my vzw curve. i was running the leaked 5.0 for a while, but the memory would just dissappear. i got tired of taking my case off to pull the battery, and some of my apps wouldnt work, so i just went back to whatever the DM suggested, and i havent had any problems.
where did you get your hybrid from been running now for a week roughly and seems ok most apps work that i am using themes got a little funky but for the most part is great my phone has about 30 meg free for apps after i loaded what i use
I use xliderider's 175 hybrid but I added the 131 profile CODs. I've never had issues with the media player and the occasional chirp with the 175 radio is worth the faster data speeds compared to the 131 radio - IMO.

If you try out the hybrids from Birdman on Nathanix, you just need the files that are posted. That means, you can delete your Java folder and REPLACE the hybrid Java folder. This will give you TONS of memory. I am running it with 20mb left.
I have:
SocialScope
Google Talk
BerryWeather
Facebook
BerryPopup
SmartAlerts
BerryBuzz
Bolt
You can also shrink a os too. If you give it a try, I don't think you will want to go back to 4.5 =)
yeah man that is what i run v6.5 really nice i havnt had any issues for the most part i have about 20 meg or so free as well dont run a whole bunch but i am digging it for sure i am looking to find a memory resource kinda program clears logs that kind of stuff .. i have tried one but cant remember the name now but ill check and see it doenst work though on my bb..any help would be appreciated..
.77 is the only OS that my media player works with properly. Any other OS and I get the infamous *No Songs* and *No Artist*. Can anyone give me some advise on how to solve this problem?
