I just upgraded my wifes and mine phones to the .175 os. We both have the 8330. Now she says when she is talking it will beep. Now i have also heard a beep as well. They never did it before. Is this a alert feature that is new?
That is the well known chirping that has been discussed on here several times. It's a bug in os.175. I didn't notice it for a few days and now it happens alot. I'm thinking about downgrading. I might hold off because I'll be upgrading to the Tour 2 hopefully soon.
Isn't the chirping annoying? You can re-load the .175 OS but use Shrink A OS to swap the radio files of .131 with the ones in .175 first. (And shrink he OS while you're at it!)
You will more than likely lose the chirping and still have most of the benefits of .175
