Need some help. Phone started deleting emails, texts, and call log. Now it constantly says I have 30-50 unread emails, when this is not the case. I took it to the ATT store and they said I have a virus and I need to reinstall everything. Is there anyway to rid the virus without losing all my pics.....etc?
At first they said it was a memory issue....added a 2 gig card and the problem continues.
Sounds good, but you can maybe remove any extra stuff you do not use.....
Anything around 12 mb is low and you will have those problems, now you may have been at that when you had problems, but if they did a reset on the phone and you have done the same, it will do some clean up by rebooting.
Scroll to the very top of the message list. Click on the date. Select Mark prior read.
If that doesnt do it check saved messages.
If you still cant get rid of it you could try hard reset.
Or backing up the messages database then clearing it off the handheld (check after clearing the messages database on the handheld if it is still showing one unread.) and then restoring the messages database.
If the icon comes back after restoring the database and you still cant find the message, it could be one of the emails is corrupt.
