Will BB messenger work without a service contract with BB.
I'm a tight wad and use an AT&T internet package....No smart phone bundle.

Also is hiding the "Shop" links from my carrier in a folder the best way to un-clutter my home screen. (I checked the FAQ's)

ya you can just hide them it'll work (the only way)
for bbm you need a blackberry data package
