My Curve 8310 pulls down email from several sources, and has done so without problem for over a year. Yesterday, Earthlink had some trouble on their end, and I was not able to pull down email on my BlackBerry or from my PC (Outlook), although mail was visible from their webmail interface. Now, Outlook is successful but the messages are still not arriving at my BlackBerry.
Does BIS "give up" after a certain period of fail to connect? I have not yet tried jiggling the email account setups on my BB or resending the service books.
Any suggestions for how I can restore my BlackBerry pull are appreciated.
Thanks, all. Resending the service books didn't help. Then I went into the email setup wizard[!] and noted that the Earthlink account was newly-marked "invalid." I revalidated it and all is well.
My guess is that BIS just stopped polling/trying after some number of hours of being unable to connect.
