Can anyone tell me if it will charge me international charges for using Blackberry Messenger not regular texting to someone in the UK that has the same phone I do? I have AT&T?

It doesn't go on texting. It is your data rate for where you are, just like sending an e-mail. It doesn't matter where the recipient is.

I use BBM with my friend who travels overseas all the time and have have never had any excess fees.

NOPE! I do that all the time because I am traveling between London and Los Angeles like every 2 months. NO extra charge!!!
