I hope some one can help me with this...

Is there a way that you could disable or turn on or off the blackberry messenger without putting the unavailable message???

Last night I was looking for the setting, but could not find anything. The best I found is the disable feature for the data function and that stopped my e-mails and browsers, but it was hard for me to check if the messenger was on or off.

Has anyone tried this?

so then.... when the smiley face on the top by your name shows up with the squirkly lines in light blue and it stays there fo a substantial amount of time, what does that mean???
