    the icon on my messenger still says 1 on the homescreen, even though i have opened and read all messages. any idea how to get ride of this?

    Make sure it's not a 1 for something else like Yahoo, SMS, Gmail or any other program you may have running. If all of those check out clean then the proverbial battery pull usually resolves the issue.

    Also make sure while in BBM or AIM you hit End Conversation. Mine blinks sometimes if i have an ongoing BBm conversation going.

    If that doesn't work, yes, try the battery pull.
