Ok I had my Gmail working and now when I get a new email it doesn't show up unless I go to the menu and check my inbox. It isn't notifying me when new mail arrives.

any suggestions?

First make sure your settings havent changed. messages/options/general options make suredisplay new message indicator is still yes. Then do a battery pull.
