do a battery pull. pull the battery out, wait 30 seconds and then put it back in. see if this helps...

When does it give you this error and does it only happen when you try to do something?

First calm down and take a deep breath. Its not the end of the world and it CAN be fixed and you don't have to be a genius to do it.
