New to this and found this great site!!!! Bought a 8310 off of fleabay and being a newbie I didn't understand unlocked. I thought buying a unlocked phone would enable me to join any carrier but I phone our local Telus store and they said I couldn't use a AT&T phone on their network. Are they just pulling my chain or can I phone TelusMobility 800 number and get them to sign me up with this phone? Rogers said they could probably do it but some functions might not work, I only want e'mail, text and phone on it!
Any help would be greatly apppreciated!
Telus is a CDMA carrier and the 8310 is a GSM device so they weren't pulling your chain. The device is incompatible with their network unlocked or not.
